Maxine K. LaFave, 47, of Sheboygan died on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 8, 1969 in Iron Mountain, MI to Richard and Elizabeth (Kittelson) LaFave. Maxine attended North High School. Maxine spent most of her adult life in Pound, and returned to Sheboygan in 2004. Maxine worked for Clean Power in the Central Building in Sheboygan and at Sargento in Plymouth.
Family was very important to Maxine, she loved spending time with her daughter and granddaughter. She loved nature, fishing, going for "Sunday" drives, and was an avid horse lover.
Maxine is survived by her mother Elizabeth "Betty" Vanderweele, daughter Cherish (Kevin) Guseck, step-children Jennifer (Adam) Young and Nathan (Kayla) Sumner, granddaughter Haley Guseck, step-grandchildren Cassandra Robson, Alexander and Brittany Young, brothers, Jim (Julie) Herschleb and their children Brook and Autumn Herschleb, and AJ LaFave, sisters, Trudy (Dale) Kunstman, Vicki Platt, and Lori DeGrave, step-brother Larry (Geri) Vanderweele, step-sisters; Cynthia (Dan) Kaiser, Rosalie (William) Miller and Lelia (Barry) Johnson, niece Tiffany (Jason) Mensch, nephew Robert Draves, significant other Timmy Sumner and by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Richard LaFave, step-father Melvin Vanderweele, and step-brother Marvin Vanderweele.
A funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church 1127 Eisner Ave. Sheboygan, with Rev. Matthew D. Peters officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Maxine's name.
