Meredith Themar

Meredith "Mamie" (Maercklein) Themar Meredith, 76, a lifelong resident of Sheboygan, entered eternal life on May 28, 2013 at the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice Center after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Sheboygan on April 20, 1937. She attended school in Sheboygan, and was a 1956 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. On June 29, 1957, she married Harvey Themar at Zion Reformed Church. She worked at Weavers Office Supply before becoming a homemaker and mother. Meredith enjoyed bird watching, gardening, cooking and baking, playing Canasta and spending time with family and friends. She was an avid Packer fan. Meredith is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Harvey, a son, Tim Themar and a daughter, Tammy Themar (Special friend, Randy Kirsch), a sister, Beverly Johnston of Ocala, FL, a brother, Les (Mary Jo) Maercklein of Albany, NY, two sisters-in-law, Delores Neuwirth of Albany NY and Jean Maercklein of Milwaukee, her grandchildren; Christopher (Tanya) Whitman, Tanya (Joe) Weisfeld, Todd (Jenny) Themar, Kristy (Brenton) Rabe, Kayla Schuh, Tyler and Tyler Themar, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Meredith was preceded in death by a brother, Charles (Mic) Maercklein, two sisters-in-law, Betty Ubbelohde and Jeanette Gruenke, and a nephew, Keith Johnston. A Memorial Service to honor the life of Meredith will be held at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center W2132 Garton Road, (Hwy 42 and Cty Rd JJ) on Saturday June 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Services will be officiated by Robert Ubbelohde. Relatives and friends may gather with the family from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Westview. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice in the name of Meredith Themar.
