Michael Captain Mike Mohr, of Sheboygan, a courageous warrior, lost his relentless eight-week battle against leukemia on August 1, 2016 at the age of 52 surrounded by love and positive juju. Mike was born on September 1, 1963 in Blytheville, AR and grew up in Sheboygan, WI. He was employed at Sheboygan Paper Box as a printer, but his true passion was fishing. He has fished the Port of Sheboygan for more than 40 years, first as a child off of North and South Pier, and most recently as the owner and Captain of Mohr Fish, Lake Michigan Fishing Charters. Mike is survived by his wife Kristine; daughters, Erin and Jocelyn Mohr; sister Linda (Scott) Mohr-Strecker; parents, Geno and Margaret Mohr and brother-in-law Paul Waller. He is also survived by his extended family of friends both in and out of the fishing community. He was proceeded in death by his son Michael Mohr Mike is viewed as a true hero by his family and friends. He would never hesitate to give the shirt off his back for anyone. Throughout his exhausting battle with cancer, Mike's positive attitude to kick ass was a true testament to the way he lived his life. Even in the darkest times of his roller coaster battle, he would be found cheering on his family, nurses and doctors. Many thanks to doctors, nurses and all the staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center for their amazing support and care. They truly felt like part of the family. Mike was a lover of life, especially big fish, cold beer and loud tunes. He loved good movies and binge-watching the latest and greatest series. He would most like to be remembered as a good friend who loved to laugh and have a great time. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, August 5 2016 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th Street from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Mike's wish was to have a celebratory gathering where friends and family could share fun stories and positive vibes. No tears, just cheers.
