Nelly Ros

Ros, Nelly , age 87, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born September 15, 1926 in Nymegen, Holland to parents Peter and Romijna (van Eekelen) Besselsen. She was united in marriage on October 20, 1956 in Holland to Henri Ros. The couple immigrated to the US in 1957, proudly becoming US citizens in 1966. Nelly worked various jobs before retiring from Wigwam Mills. In retirement she enjoyed doing food demonstrations at local grocery stores. Nelly will be remembered for her sense of humor and her many talents in knitting and crotchet work. She was always sharing her talents by making gifts for others. Nelly and Henri were members of the Sheboygan Soccer Club, where they made their life long friends. They also traveled back to the Netherlands numerous times to see family. Nelly loved to play bingo, going on weekly trips. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially her chocolate chip cookies. Nelly "Oma" always treasured time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nelly is survived by her daughter; Yvonne (Peter) Sanville, Town of Mosel, son; Peter (Greet) Paymans, Holland, two grandchildren, Tara (Bob) Vandoske, Town of Mosel and Justin Sanville, Green Bay, three great-grandchildren; Brianne, Reid and Brooklyn Vandoske, also one brother and sister in Holland, and other relatives in Holland. She was preceded in death by her parents and her soul mate Henri. Visitation on Tuesday, June 3 at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, (Hwy 42 & JJ), from 11:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 12 Noon. Rev. DuWayne Hanke presiding. Private committal at Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name are appreciated. A special thanks to staff at the Sharon Richardson Hospice and Harmony House for their care and especially her special friend Kay. She will be loved, remembered and missed.
