Norman J. Meyer, 82, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away of natural causes at his home Monday December 15, 2015. Norman was born November 29, 1933 to the late Isadore and Lorena (Schuler) Meyer. He attended St. Isidore School in Osman WI. On June 22, 1957, Norman married the love of his life, Rita Ratajczak at the former St. Marys Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Norman served in the US Army from August 1953 with Honorable discharge in June 1955. He operated a service station in Plymouth with one of his brothers before having his own station in Manitowoc. Norman went on to work in sales with Snap-on Tools and Fuller Brush. He then drove semi for numerous trucking firms in the Green Bay area where is fellow truckers knew him by his CB handle Stormin Norman. Leaving the trucking industry Norman returned to sales starting his own pressure washer equipment company, Meyers Pressure Cleaners in 1982. Norman and Rita went on to raise ostriches on their hobby farm in Green Bay and later retired to Sheboygan Falls, WI. Norman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on his hobby farm. Norman is survived by his sons, Jerome (Lynn) Meyer of Mequon, Gregory (Kim) Meyer of Brighton, CO, Jeffrey (Toni) Meyer of Waldo. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andrew, Victoria and Patrick Meyer, Nichole (Darin) Clayton and Michael Cox, Alyssa (Travis) Aleff, Ashley and Alec Meyer and three great grandchildren Cole Reid Clayton and Charlie Meyer. He is also survived by four brothers and four sisters, Delores Boeckman, Leonard (Margie) Meyer, Donald (Sharron) Meyer, Dorothy (Ival) Grotegut, Clementine Steinhardt, Charlie (Judy) Meyer, Paul Meyer, Virginia (Rich) Freeze, Sister -in-laws: Ethel Meyer, Gloria Meyer, Mary Ann Hellwig, Loraine Rosinsky, and Arlene Ratajczak, Brother-in-law; Leroy Waack, and numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends. Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Ratajczak) Meyer, brothers; Victor, Harold, Gilbert, and Joseph, sisters; Theresa Waack, Luella Mahloch, brother-in-laws; Earl Holschbach, Robert Boeckman, Jack Steinhardt, Allen Mahloch, Richard Ratajczak, and Armon Rosinsky, sister-in-laws; Kathy Meyer, and Marlene Ratajczak, Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday December 19th, 12:00 noon at St John the Baptist Catholic Church (116 N Pleasant St, Plymouth). Father Dan Volkert, pastor of the church will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday morning at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church from 9am until time of services.
