Richard Hermann

August 15, 1930 — November 5, 2014

Richard W. "Dick" Hermann, 84, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Dick was born, August 15, 1930 in Sheboygan to Fredrick and Leah (Harbuch) Hermann. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and Sheboygan North High School. During the Korean War, Dick served his country in US Army, stationed in Germany and Ft. Bliss in Texas. Dick was employed at Honold & LaPage Supply Co. for fourteen years. Most recently he worked at Superior Electric until his retirement in 1992. On November 7, 1953 Dick married Rosemary Eickberg. She preceded him in death on June 18, 1990. On June 21, 1997 Richard Hermann and Rosemary (Hoell) Mueller were united in marriage at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. Together they enjoyed going on various gambling trips. In addition to his wife, Rosemary, he is survived by a son, William (Julie) Hermann; step-daughter, Vicki (Jim) Leonhardt; step-son, Dale Mueller; two brothers, Robert Hermann and Michael Hermann; a sister, Ruth Post; five grandchildren, Mandy Genson, Adam Genson, Cory (Robin) Leonhardt, Jenny (Dolf) DeCeuster, Leslie Mueller; ten great-grandchildren, Haley, Trenton , Deven, Hunter, Emma, Rylee, Grace, Blake, Vincent, and Oliver; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his first wife, Dick was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Diane; an infant son; four brothers, Walter, Milton, Clarence, and Marvin; a sister, Doris Zitzer; a brother-in-law, Dennis Post; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hermann. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center. Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate, Associate Pastor of Ebenezer United Church of Christ. A time of visitation and support will be held from 11:30 am until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Richard's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the care and compassion shown to him.
