Robert Herber

Robert G. Herber, 68, of Sheboygan, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Sharon Richardson Community Hospice. Robert was born on December 9, 1946 in Sheboygan Falls to the late Eugene and Dorothy (Holden) Herber. He graduated with the class of 1965 from Sheboygan Falls High School. On April 26, 1980 Robert was united in marriage to the love of his life Linda Brown. Robert was an apprentice at Kohler General for 4 years, and then went to work at Curt Joa for 36 years. Robert was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran, a lifetime member of the NRA, and a member of the Koening Conservation Club for over 20 years. He loves to camp (5th wheel), mini bowl, sports, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. Robert is survived by his wife of 35 years Linda, by his children; Brett Borstad, Jolynn Brown, Paula (Jeff) Siech, and Patrick Brown, thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, siblings; Dave Herber, Sharon (Dave) Kasik, and Gary (Brenda) Herber, and sisters-in-law; Carol (Pat) Quinn and Darlene (Jesse Romo) Rucobo. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Carla, and his niece Kristy. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor Alan Kubow officiating. A private burial will take place at Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank to Dr. Kumar, Deb Gray, the staff at Vince Lombardi and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice and Pastor Kubow for all of their care and support.
