Robert Hoffmann

Robert W. Hoffmann, of Sheboygan and formerly of Kohler, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home. He was 90 years old.
Robert was born July 20, 1929 in Markesan, the son of William and Anna (nee Kuck) Hoffmann. After high school, Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1946-1950.
On July 1, 1950, he was united in marriage with Lois J. Kloppenburg at Ebenezer Evangelical Reformed Church. She preceded him in death in 2004.
For 28 years, he worked for the Village of Kohler in the Utility Department. He retired in 1990 after 17 years as supervisor.
Bob was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ. He enjoyed being with his family, time spent at their summer home in the Crivitz area and traveling to scenic places.
Robert is survived by special friend Evelyn Goyette and his 5 children: Leann (Fred) Neerhof of Sheboygan Falls, Wayne Hoffmann of Sheboygan, Debra (Carl) Maglio of Whitefish Bay, Jean (Dave) Vander Weele of Sheboygan and Kent (Cathy) Hoffmann of Kohler. He is further survived by 14 grandchildren: Dawn Williams, Chad Neerhof (Sara), Greg (Trisha) Neerhof, Bradley (Shannon) Hoffmann, Brian (Katherine) Hoffmann, Sara Hoffmann, Alyssa Maglio, Anna Maglio, Jason (Tanya) Vander Weele, Renee (Matthew) Gonzalez, Erin Vander Weele (Dylan), Bethany (Luke) Abitz, Courtney Hoffmann and Jillian Hoffmann; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents and siblings.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30-11:00AM. He will be laid to rest beside Lois at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Robert's name to Ebenezer United Church of Christ.
