Robert Kanzelberger

Robert A Kanzelberger, age 73, of Sheboygan Falls, lost his courageous battle with cancer on April 12, 2014 at the Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls. Bob was born on September 13, 1940 in Sheboygan, WI the son of the late Richard and Barbara (Pentek) Kanzelberger. He served in the United States Army; Bob was on the US Army Rifle Team while stationed in Germany. On October 17, 1970, he married Maria-Elena Schoen at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was employed at Tecumseh in Sheboygan Falls for 47 years. Bob was an avid sportsman and loved spending time outdoors. His greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandsons. His stories will be missed. Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years Maria-Elena: his son Jason (Jamie) Kanzelberger and his daughter Jeanette (Kevin) Meyer all of Sheboygan Falls. He is also survived by three grandsons: Chase Kanzelberger, Emmit and Kasey Meyer; one sister Sue (Erv Wolff) Bennin of Sheboygan; two brothers: Richard (Shirley) Kiel, Thomas (Gloria) of Sheboygan Falls; a sister-in-law Karen of Sheboygan Falls; three brother-in-laws: Theodore(Colleen) Schoen, James (Barbara) Schoen, and John Schoen all of Sheboygan and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother "Butch" Kanzelberger; his mother and father -in-law Theodore and Helen Schoen; one sister-in-law Jeanne Schoen; and one nephew Michael Kanzelberger. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at St Luke's Lutheran Church (N6189 State Hwy 32 Sheboygan Falls) with Pastor Elizabeth Jaeger officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his name. Bob's family would like to thank the compassionate staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Kumar, Debbie Gray and Julie Prahl. As well as the staff at the Sharon S Richardson Community Hospice Center for their loving care.
