Robert Lauersdorf

Robert D. Lauersdorf, went home to the Lord, Monday, March 10, 2014, age 87. He was born January 11, 1927 in Beaver Dam to parents Adolf and Alvina Lauersdorf. He proudly served in the US Army and Cost Guard. Robert was united in marriage to Doris Burkhardt on February 13, 1953. He retired from Kohler Company after working 34 years in the foundry. Robert enjoyed his two dogs Spike and Sparky. Robert was an avid reader, enjoyed the outdoors, he loved spending time with his family especially his wife whom he lovingly called "my Gal". Robert is survived by his wife Doris, eleven children; Charmaine Rodich, Roger (Colleen), Joan (Marvin) Schweitzer, Darwin (Alice), Sandra (Steven) Bonnett, Cameron (Karen), Barbara Saunders, Debra (Thomas) Lavin, Brian (Marilyn), Dawn (Ted) Beinamann and Glenn Lauersdorf, thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-two greatgrandchildren, one brother; Duwayne (LuAnn), many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Sylvan and Palmer, one sister; Caroline Greene. Visitation will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd., (Hwy 42 & JJ) on Wednesday, March 12 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral Service at 12 Noon with Rev. David VanDixhorn presiding. Committall to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
