Roberta Hehn Dekker Deglman passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice with family by her side. Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on February 5, 1947 to the late Robert and Emily (Knaub) Hehn, Roberta was a life-long resident of Sheboygan graduating from Sheboygan South High School in 1965 and continuing her education studying psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan campus. Roberta married William J. Dekker on January 20, 1968 and together they raised two sons. She thrived as a mother and thoroughly enjoyed being a stay-at-home Mom while participating in various charitable and civic activities as well as golf and bowling leagues. Later, when her children started school, Roberta worked with her husband helping to manage the family business, William J. Dekker Real Estate Company. On April 7, 1989 Roberta was married to her best friend and love of her life, William J. Deglman (Willy). Always together, Roberta and Willy enjoyed a wonderful life: many horse-drawn carriage rides, road trips in their little yellow convertible, spending the month of March every year in Pompano Beach, Florida, visiting Manitowish Waters, and "happy hours". Roberta is survived by her loving sons, Doug Dekker, his husband Brandon Dahl and Roberta's "Grand-puppy", Kirby of Minneapolis, MN and Jeff Dekker, his wife Kristen and their children Quinn, Eliza and Griffin of DePere, WI. She is also survived by Sister Rosemary Schild, her husband, Mark and their daughters Jennifer Reinl of Sheboygan and Nicole Schild of Key West, Florida. Further survived by Willy's daughter Amy Meyers, her husband, Dr. Carl Meyers and their children Kaitlyn and Scott of Jackson, Wisconsin; Willy's son, William T. (Billy) Deglman and his wife Kelli of Wheatland, Wyoming; Billy's daughter Rebecka and her son, Mitchell of Wheatland, Wyoming. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Willy on July 3, 2008; parents Robert Hehn and Emily Hehn Hawkins; step-father Earl Hawkins; Doug and Jeff's father, William J. Dekker; very special cousins Fran Napotnik Johnson, David Wagner (Jimmy) and David Dotai as well as many other wonderful family and friends including "Max the cat". At Roberta's request, funeral services will not be held and instead, a celebration of her life will be hosted by her family on Saturday, June 28 at Latitude in the Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan from 12pm until 2pm. Laughter, joy and stories of great times with Roberta will be free-flowing. No flowers, please. Memorials to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in recognition and support of the loving care they provided Roberta and so many others in the community will be sincerely appreciated. A wonderful, warm and funny Mom, wife, grandma, big sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Roberta will be missed tremendously and always loved unconditionally. When remembering Mom, Jeff and Doug can't help but think of "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein - the story of a soul who loved and shared without condition or regret.
