Roger Allen Hoitink

Roger Allen Hoitink, age 74, passed away with his family by his side on December 19, 2024. He was born in Sheboygan on August 12, 1950 to the late Harry and Mildred (Heinen) Hoitink. He married the love of his life, Cindy Goetz, on July 22, 1978. Together, they raised four children: Steve, Trina, Shannon, and Ryan.

Roger was known for his work ethic and his love of his family. His nicknames at work were “Wooden Shoe” and “Hollander.” He was proud of his Dutch ancestry, and always said, “If you ain’t dutch, you ain’t much!” He proudly worked at Kohler Company as a Foundry Worker for 44 years, and continued to work as a Shuttle Bus Driver for Kohler after retiring. He was on the Town of Sheboygan Appeals Board, a member of D’Werdenfelser Schuplattler Club, and a member of the Bavarian Society. Roger enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle (only Harley Davidson’s), and spending time with his family. His family remembers his sweet tooth, especially his love for coconut cream pie! Roger will be missed by his family, friends and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Roger is survived by his wife Cindy, and their children: Steve Hoitink, Trina Chaney-Hoo, Shannon Hoitink, and Ryan (Paula) Hoitink, his grandchildren Samantha (Toby), Justin, Hannah, Savannah, Corey, Serina, Jack, Delilah, and Angelo, and his great-grandchildren Jaxin, Greysin, Addilyn, and Ella. Roger is further survived by three sisters, two brothers, and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by one brother.

A memorial service to honor Roger will take place at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N. 8th St., Sheboygan, on December 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
