Rosemary Semph

October 2, 1922 — September 14, 2014

Rosemary C. Semph, 91, of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Rosemary was born October 2, 1922 in Sheboygan to Raymond and Barbara (Leider) Zeitler. She attended St. Peter Claver grade school and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, class of 1940. On January 13, 1945 Ralph Semph and Rosemary Zeitler were united in marriage at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. For a number of years they were the proprietors of the grocery store in Ada. He preceded her in death August 8, 2012. For the majority of her life she was a faithful, active member of Our Shepherd United Church of Christ in Howards Grove where she taught Sunday school for 10 years as well as served on other committees until she became ill eight years ago. Rosie was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a good friend to all who knew her. Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Julie (Dan) Winkel of Plymouth; daughter-in-law, Jan (Dan) Warnke of Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Jesse (girlfriend, Jessica) Semph of Sheboygan, Taylor (fiance, Evan Grimes) Semph of Plymouth, Nicole (boyfriend, Larry) Gehman of Minneapolis, MN, Chrissy (Phil) Bauer of Loyal, WI, Joshua Wright of Two Rivers, Daniel Winkel of Plymouth; great-grandchildren, Michaela, Hannah, Kyan, Beau, Bella, and Bryce of Marshfield, WI; niece, Vick Klark of Arizona; nephew, Bob Zietler; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Ralph, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pattie; son, Dan; and brother, Raymond Zietler, Jr. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Our Shepherd United Church of Christ, 710 Ethan Allen Drive, Howards Grove, WI 53083. Rev. Peggy Feyen, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 11:30am until the time of service on Thursday at church. Burial will take place at Schwarzwald Cemetery, Town of Herman at St. John's United Church of Christ, W3401 Orchard Road. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Rosemary's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregiver, Julie Blish, of Sheboygan for the care and compassion shown to Rosie. We could not have done it better than her!
