Rudolph Buchholz, 93, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Friday evening, April 19, 2013 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. Rudolph was born on December 29, 1919 in Germany to the late Richard and Emma (Minkwitz) Buchholz. He came to Sheboygan, with his parents, at the age of four. His family is registered on the American Immigrant Wall of Honor on Ellis Island in New York. He attended local schools and graduated in 1938 from Sheboygan High School. Rudolph was united in marriage to Margaret Heibel in the rectory of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church by Father Raymond Suchurec on November 14, 1948. He worked at Ladisch Drop Forge during World War II. In Sheboygan, he worked at Thieman Ford and at Martin Pontiac for 35 years, where he made many friends and loyal customers. Rudy enjoyed golf and was a charter member of NEWGA and played golf in all of their tournaments. He was a member of the Elks Club BPOE #299 for many years and after retirement, a member of the YMCA. Rudy was a long time member of Riverdale Golf Club where he as president for a year. For the last 20 years, he belonged to the Legends at Riverdale. He also enjoyed vacations and traveling and time with his family. In addition to his wife of 70 years, survivors include a son, Michael (Alexandra) Buchholz, Whitefish Bay; twos daughter, Susan (Rick) Trester, Westbend and Carol (Andy) Walsh, Adell; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Private family services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
