Russell Perl

February 12, 1951 — January 20, 2016

Russell "Russ" John Perl peacefully passed away in his sleep on January 20. He was 64 years old. Russ Perl was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on February 12, 1951. He was the fifth child of Walter and Anita (Klein) Perl. Russ graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1969 with Nan Eigenberger who he married on March 21, 1970, in Plymouth, Wisconsin. After their marriage Russ and Nan started their life in Cedar Grove together. They had three children. Russ worked at Ken Markwardts Sales and Service as a mechanic and truck driver for over 25 years and was recently retired. He was also a lifetime member of Wisconsin Bow Hunters.
Russ was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. In his spare time he enjoyed bow hunting and watching old time movies and his favorite show NCIS. But, more than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. After retirement he became even more involved in the things he loved. He will be remembered for his passion for bow hunting, boasting about his show splurges, intensely cheering for the Packers, and how content he was with helping on the farm next door. He will especially be remembered for his car strolls around town which usually ended in bringing goodies to different families. His grandchildren will miss scanning their house windows to see an old red truck pulling into the driveway.
Russ is survived by his wife, Nan Perl and their children Shannon (Chrissy) Perl, Christopher (Tara) Perl, and Carrie (Brett) Damrow. His grandchildren Cassidy and Remington Perl, Courtney and Joslyn Perl, Autumn Risch, Saige and Trace Damrow will also live on to remember his many great qualities. He is also survived by his siblings, Donna DeMey, Walter "Butch" (Peg) Perl, Judy (Richard) Piper, Susan (Dennis) Freund, and Carol (Robert) King and many nieces and nephews. Russ was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Anita Perl, but lives on through many. He will be sadly and sorely missed by his loving family
Russs life will be celebrated at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, Sheboygan, (Hwy 42 JJ) on Sunday, January 24, from 11 AM - 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Russ' name.
