Ruth Ann Engelhardt

Ruth Ann Engelhardt, 64, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.  She was born September 7, 1958 in Sheboygan to the late Donald and Joan (Vrobely) Engelhardt.  Ruth graduated from South High School with the Class of 1977; she then went on to receive her Associates Degree in Interior Design.

Ruth worked as an interior designer for Dulmes Décor early in her life before starting her family. 

She was a proud and loving Mom who cherished all the time spent with her daughter creating lasting memories. She also enjoyed helping others and making people happy. Ruth worked as an advocate for those dealing with mental health, making sure they knew their rights and had access to the help they needed.  Ruth was very creative, and demonstrated her creativity in everything she did from making gift baskets to decorating her home. Entertaining family and friends was a passion of hers, and Ruth’s Christmas Eve Open Houses were always looked forward to by all who attended. 

Ruth is survived by her daughter Amanda Sheedy of Green Bay, sister Madelyn (Jeffrey) Ehlert of Sheboygan Falls, brother Daniel Engelhardt of Sheboygan, niece Marie (Joe) Posephny, nephew Lee (Kelly) Ehlert, and many cousins, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Josanna and infant sister Rachel.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8^th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor Patrick Niles officiating.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
