Sandra Theune

Sandra Jean Theune, age 78, of Sheboygan, died Wednesday afternoon, November 26, 2014 at Sheboygan Senior Community. She was born November 17, 1936 in Sheboygan to Edwin and Eleanor (Verhulst) Winkelhorst. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1954 On December 28, 1956 Sandra and Wayne Theune were united in marriage at Hope Reformed Church. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1992. For many years Sandra was employed at Heritage Nursing Home (now Sheboygan Progressive Care Center) as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church and active in the Hope Church Women's group. Sandra enjoyed camping, reading, golf outings, card parties with friends, and holidays with family. Sandra is survived by her mother, Eleanor Winkelhorst of Sheboygan; children, Susan (Steve) Matheys of New Berlin, WI, Thomas (Libby) of Madison, WI, Marc (Doris) of Sheboygan, Daun (Gary) Richmond of West Bend, WI, and John (close friend, Corey); grandchildren, Daniel (Adriana) Matheys, Joseph (Andy) Matheys, Devon (close friend, Aaron) Theune, Adrienne Theune, Michael (close friend, Lindsay) Theune, Allison (Damon) Card, Kayla and Kyle Theune; great-grandchild, Myer Matheys; sister, Carol (Milt) Kyers; brothers-in-law, Roland Grabowski, Earl (Joyce) Theune; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Wayne, she was preceded in death by her father and sister, Lauri Grabowski. A memorial service for Sandra will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Hope Reformed Church. Rev. Bill TeWinkle, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name for Hope Reformed Church. Many thanks to the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for their loving care and attention to Sandy and her family over the last seven months.
