Sharon Steinbruecker

February 24, 1939 — June 5, 2015

Sharon Marie Steinbruecker, 76, was called home to her Heavenly Father on June 5, 2015. Sharon was born on February 24, 1939 in Sheboygan, a daughter of John and Virginia (Eiles) Vander Weele. She attended Sheboygan Christian School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School. On April 4th, 1959 she was united in marriage to James Steinbruecker at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Sharon was a past member of Southside Alliance Church, Sheboygan Christian Women's Club, various bowling teams and enjoyed golf, swimming and traveling and most importantly, being with family. Sharon will be remembered for her love of the Lord, her family and her generosity to others. Sharon spent many hours reading her bible at home and enjoyed praying to the Lord. Sharon is survived by her loving husband James; a daughter Teresa (John) Denning, Sheboygan and their two children, Jerod and Meredith Denning; a son, Thomas Steinbruecker, Sheboygan and his two children Kaitlyn and James Steinbruecker and one great grandson, Jonah J. Lavey. Sharon is further survived by her sister Vallerie (Roger) Miller, Sheboygan; a brother-in-law, Ronald (Donna) Steinbruecker, California; two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Donald) Helf, Hudson and Sandy (David) Miller, Fredonia, along with many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Virginia and John, a stepmother, Vivian Vander Weele and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Steinbruecker. A funeral service for Sharon will be held on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove). Friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. A private inurnment will take place at the Holy Cross Mausoleum (3979 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan). Sharon would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Alexander Musat and Sue Dillan, the transplant coordinator at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. A friend in need is a friend indeed, such a friend was Maria Martin. Sharon's family would like to thank the very caring staff in the emergency room at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, especially the very professional Dr. Vidhyalakshmy Vivek. She has been extremely considerate to Sharon's family. Sharon would like to thank some of her many friends for their many years of caring and friendship. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
