He received a bachelor of music degree from McPhail College of Music in 1952 and a master of science in education from Winona State College in 1966. His brother Bill taught him to play the piano, something he continued to do for the rest of his life, often playing for hours at a time. He also enjoyed the hobby of black and white photography, taking and processing thousands of pictures over the years. In his younger days he played the trumpet in dance bands with his high school friends. After retirement he entertained in nursing homes, playing the piano with other Sheboygan musicians. Sherley married Betty Lou Fuller on February 15, 1948. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2001. He was also preceded by brothers Sheldon, Kenneth and William. He is survived by children Jenny Eisch (Charlie Collins), Peter (Shelly) Eisch and Jonathan (Lisa) Eisch, grandsons Collin Eisch and Logan Eisch and step-grandson Paul Weiher. Thank you to the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for the care they gave Sherley during the years he resided there and to those who took care of him at the end.
