Shirlee Riddle

Shirlee Ann Riddle, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born on July 30, 1933 in Eugene, Oregon to Henry and Lilliann (Hardmann) Fee. She attended Catholic elementary and high school in Eugene and went on to further her studies at Oregon State University where she met the love of her life, Paul A. Riddle. Paul and Shirlee were united in marriage on August 15, 1953, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Together they lived in numerous cities out west until they moved their family to Sheboygan in 1969. Shirlee worked various accounting and healthcare positions retiring from Sunnyridge Skilled Nursing Home. Shirlee was most interested in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed planning grand parties for holidays and birthdays. She also enjoyed playing cards, games, singing, listening to music, playing piano, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Paul, her parents, two brothers, Jack and Newman Michael, her mother and father-in-law, and many aunts, uncles and friends. Shirlee is survived by her six daughters Terri Shaw, Suzy(Mike) Mech, Janice Dekker, Kathryn(Casey) Palmisano, Stacy(Ryan) Hopp, Mary (Mike) Rautmann and son, Kirk; grandchildren Christine Ruska, Sarah (Adam) Bayer, Jennifer (Troy) Bartel, Jessica (Chris) Burke, Michele Mech, Alan Dekker, Paul, Matthew and Kayleigh Palmisano, Haylee and Anne Marie Hopp, Abigail, Natalie and Josie Rautmann and her five great-grandchildren Alicia and Kaitlin Bullock, Riley and Miles Burke and Bryce Bartel. She will be greatly missed by her three soul sisters Diana S, Louise and Diana R. as well as many loving friends. A gathering and Service of Remembrance will be held for Shirlee on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Avenue in Sheboygan. Senior Pastor Timothy J. Mech will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Eternal Light Mausoleum of Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in the name of Shirlee Ann Riddle. The family would like to thank her friends for their love and support of Shirlee and her children during the past months. A special thank you to the staff at Sharon S. Richardson for their open arms, compassion and loving care of Shirlee and her family. Although her stay was brief, we are so thankful that our journey brought us together and feel blessed to have met so many angels.
