Shirley Williams

Shirley Williams, age 84, formerly of Overland Park, Kansas passed through death to eternal life on Monday, August 18, 2014. She was born December 6, 1929 in Phoenix, Arizona to Swan and Clara (Damm) Erickson. On September 1, 1951 Shirley and Deahl Williams were united in marriage in San Carlos, California. They lived in the Kansas City area for the next sixty years until Deahl preceded Shirley in death in 1985. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, KS where she belonged to Dorcas Circle, participated in Bible study, and knitted in the church group. She enjoyed her TOPS membership, caring for her cats, crafts and painting, and working crossword puzzles. In 2012 Shirley relocated to Sheboygan to be closer to family. She joined Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She is survived by three daughters, Alice (Roger) Buck of Sheboygan, Becky Williams of Coon Rapids, MN, and Nancy (Bob) Bailey of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren, Allison (Zach) Zehnder, Shannon (Seth) Hoeppner, Amanda (Kevin) Fritsch, Peter Buck, Kimberly (Tyler) Shadick, Christopher Bailey, and Allison Bailey; three great-grandchildren, Nathan and Brady Zehnder, and Sophia Hoeppner; her sisters-in-law, Marie Elledge, Fern Leible, and Ann Slavens; one brother-in-law, Doyle Williams; and other dear relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Musante; her sister-in-law, Audene Slatter; and her brother-in-law, Dane Williams. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Rev. John Berg, Associate Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name for Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Shirley will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and the love she had for her family. She will be dearly missed.
