Sophie Stelle

Sophie Van Stelle age 87, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014. She was born on March 6, 1927 in Sheboygan to parents John and Mary (Doelder) Munnik. Sophie was united in marriage on April 21, 1955 to Donald Van Stelle. Sophie is survived by seven children; Karen Van Stelle, Sheboygan, Roger (Oui), Laos, Kathy (special friend Larry Couch) DePagter, Athelstane, WI, Betty (John) Skvarce, Sheboygan, Mary (Dave) Vis, Sheboygan Falls, Tim (special friend Michelle Richardson), Sheboygan Falls, and Andy (Michelle), Sheboygan; twelve grandchildren; Carrie (Dave) Govek, Amanda (Justin) Fay, James (Tasha) Johnson, Michael (Darcy) Johnson, Aaron (Karin) Vis, Mark (Jessica) Vis, Nathan (Allyson) Vis, Zachary (Stephanie) Vis, Jennifer (fiancé Donnie Roethel) Van Stelle, Nicholas Van Stelle, Hailey Van Stelle and Benjamin Van Stelle; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances VerDuin; one brother-in-law, LeRoy Baumann; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Munnik; also survived by other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; twin sister, Mary Baumann; two brothers, Herman and Adrian Munnik. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N. 8th Street, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Continued visitation at the Funeral Home, Thursday, October 16 from 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM. Funeral Service at 9:00 AM with Rev. C. Vogelaar presiding. Committal to follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Pine Haven Christian Home or the Ebenezer Christian School. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at Pine Haven for their loving care and support, also a special thanks to the Baumann Family for including Sophie in their family.
