Susan Kraemer

Susan Elaine Kraemer, age 77, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully Friday, April 9, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

Born October 1, 1943 in Summit, WI, she and her twin sister, Nancy, were later adopted by Walter and Emily (Jensen) Taubenheim. Susan attended local schools graduating from North High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Allan Kraemer on June 11, 1966 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Susan spent many years working in retail customer service for Prange’s, Younkers and Mary Lee’s Hallmark. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, decorating for the holidays, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends, especially her Cup of Hope group. She loved all indiscriminately.

Susan is survived by her children, David (Jody) Kraemer and Dawn (Timothy) Kraemer-Meseck; sister-in-law Alyce (Elmer) Couwenhoven; nephew Jeff (Terri) Couwenhoven; nieces Jan Cleveland and Jane Ratajczak; six great-nieces, two great-nephews, two great grandnephews and one great grandniece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Edgar Kraemer, mother-in-law Anita Kraemer, husband Allan, her twin sister Nancy Danzy and niece Judy Couwenhoven.

A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, April 15, 2021 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1248 Lincoln Ave. Sheboygan. The Rev. Gregory Whelton will officiate. Family and friends will be received at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service. (Please note: a face covering is required and social distancing will be observed.)

Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
