Tammy L. Rosten, age 51, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at her home after a courageous eight year battle with cancer. She was born November 7, 1963 in Jacksonville, Florida to Gilbert and Mary Ann (Schmidt) Grois. She attended Cooper Elementary School and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1982. On June 4, 1983 Tammy and Randy Rosten were united in marriage at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Tammy was employed at the Sheboygan Clinic as a transcriptionist and later worked at the YMCA in Sheboygan Falls in the day care. She loved taking care of the little children. She was also a willing volunteer at St. Nicholas Hospital in the maternity ward. She was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she served on the WELCA council. Tammy enjoyed bowling, crafting, crocheting, scrapbooking, and spending great times with her family and friends. She was always willing to try new things in life. In addition to her husband, Randy, she is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Grois of Sheboygan; her mother-in-law, Marge Rosten of Ishpeming, MI; her children, Andrew (Amanda) Rosten of Sheboygan and Nathan Rosten of Howards Grove; sisters, Debbie Livermore and Kathleen (Cliff) Babak all of Sheboygan; nieces and nephews, Randy, Amber and Aaron Livermore, Makell and Mara Babak, dear friends, Sue, Kathy, Phyllis, Judy, Jean, Bonnie, Paula, and Jenny; and other relatives and wonderful friends. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Grois; two uncles, Kenneth Schmidt and Richard Payne; her aunt, Jean Boeldt; her father-in-law, Arnold Rosten; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Josephine "Feeney" Rosten. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2104 Geele Ave., Sheboygan. Pastor Kristin Berglund will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church Friday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. Tammy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Bettag and his staff and St. Nicholas Hospice for their excellent care and wonderful support.
