Terry Kellner

November 12, 1926 — December 16, 2016

Terry Kellner, age 90, passed away peacefully at St. Nicholas Hospital on December 16, 2016. She was born November 12, 1926 in Sheboygan to Joseph S. and Isabel (Schropp) Sonntag.
On September 4, 1948 Terry was united in marriage to Jerome C. Kellner at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where they have been lifelong members. The Celebrant was her brother, Father Nathanial Sonntag, O.F.M., Cappuchin.

Terry devoted her life and her love to her husband Jerry, and to their nine children. Terry and Jerry shared wonderful memories, traveling to destinations in the States and Abroad. A special joy for Terry during their trip to Austria was when she danced The Blue Danube Waltz with Jerry at a grand ballroom in Vienna, and received a standing ovation from the orchestra when their dance ended.

In addition to her husband, Jerry, she is survived by nine children, Kathleen Haemer, Kenneth J. (Lori) Kellner, Steven (Roxanne) Kellner, Thomas (Mary) Kellner, Timothy (Lisa) Kellner, Jay (Sue) Kellner, Angela Felde, William (Dee) Kellner, and Nicholas (Sandy) Kellner;

Twenty-three grandchildren, Joseph (Yi-Hsing Chen) Haemer, Matthew (Emily) Haemer, Karen (Chris) Birling, Kristine (Josh) Sova, Paul (Bri) Kellner, Sara Kellner, Alex Kellner, Kevin Kellner, Rebecca (Jake) Reichow, Olivia Kellner, Adam Kellner, Ryan (Olivia) Kellner, Molly Kellner, Mike (Olga) Felde, Chris (Lori) Felde, Jessie Felde, Tiffany (Mark) Lehman, Doug Felde, Zachary Kellner, Isabel Kellner, Jessica Kellner, Ruby Kellner, and Ava Kellner;

Nineteen great-grandchildren, Ethan Haemer, Elliote Haemer, Chloe Haemer, Anna Haemer, Luke Haemer, Clara Haemer, Lydia Birling, William Birling, Caroline Birling, Kayla Sova, Grayson Sova, Sawyer Sova, Ashley Felde, Michael Paul Felde, Alex Felde, Andrew Felde, Giovanni Santiago, Isaac Lehman, and Hayden Lehman.

She is also survived by her brother, Vincent Sonntag; her brother-in-law, Kenneth W. Kellner; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gene and Barbara Heller; and her daughter-in-law, Joan Turba.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Father Nathaniel (Padre Louis), Lawrence, Bernard, Clemens, and Walter; sisters, Genevieve Johnson, Catherine Van Handel, and Mary Radwick; mother and father-in-law, William and Hulda Kellner; brother-in-law, Donald Kellner; son-in-law, Paul Felde; grandson, Jamie Kellner; and great-granddaughter, Rose Haemer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Rev. Matthew Widder will be the Celebrant. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of mass.


The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to: Dr. Mary Gentine, Mary Pitsch of Embrace Care Management and Care Companions Vicki, Karen and Heidi; Special Home Caregivers Teresa, Carla, and Judy; Fr. Matthew Widder; and the nursing and hospice staff at St. Nicholas Hospital.
