Thomas "Baldy" Balnaitis, age 68 passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was born May 16, 1946 in Decatur, AL to parents Peter and Margaret (Hudson) Balnaitis. In his early childhood, Tom moved to Sheboygan with his parents and attended St. Peter Claver School. He graduated from South High School in 1965. Tom was drafted into the U.S. Army and served from 1966 - 1968. After serving his country, he worked at Kohler Co. in the foundry for 36 years until his retirement in 2008. Tom enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting. He took several fishing trips to Canada. After retiring Tom joined the Moose Lodge and was an active member and could be found solving the world's problems with the boys over a cocktail. He also took trips to New Mexico, Arizona and Alaska with longtime girlfriend Jean. Tom played golf and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He attended many games at Wrigley Field with family and friends. In his spare time he tried his hand at gardening, planting various vegetables and even peanuts. Tom was most proud to watch his grandchildren participate in sports. Tom is survived by children, Ann Marie (Rick) Buboltz and John (Stephanie) Balnaitis, two grandchildren, Paige and Cale Buboltz, longtime girlfriend Jean Arnoldi. Also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends. Family and friends will gather for a celebration of Tom's life at the Sheboygan Moose Lodge #438, 1811 Georgia Ave. on Thursday, April 9, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name are appreciated to MooseHeart, which benefits Wisconsin orphans.
