Vera F. Magerl

Vera F. Magerl, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Meadow View Health Services. 

She was born in Sheboygan on April, 25, 1942, to the late Armor and Ruby (Werner) Gross. On December 15, 2011, Vera was united in marriage to the love of her life, Terence Magerl. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2024. 

In Vera’s earlier days, she had a little boutique in her home, representing her crafty side of her crocheted hats and scarves and homemade candles. She enjoyed being outdoors with fishing being one of her favorite outdoor activities. She also loved her cats throughout the years, being a huge supporter of the Sheboygan County Humane Society. She was also a supporter of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department and Boys Towns. Above all, Vera loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Vera is survived by her son, Tim Wiegert; daughter Joanne Lunch; step-children, Lisa Zenthefer and Todd (Jeri) Magerl; eleven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family and friends. 

Along with her parents and husband, Terence, Vera was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Wiegert III and a daughter, Peg Kerr. 

A private burial will take place and Vera will be laid to rest next to Terence at the St. John's Cemetery in Elkhart Lake, WI.

Memorial donations can be made in Vera's name to either the Sheboygan County Humane Society or the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department.
