She was very proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and cherished the many family moments they shared. Vera was an avid fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks. Later in life she enjoyed dancing with her dear friend, Carl Leonardt. She is survived by her children, Mark (Candy) Hameister of Geneva, IL, Kenneth (Joyce) Hameister of Howards Grove, and Darla (Bruce) Dahlbacka of Port Washington; six grandchildren, Amy (Ed) Janis of Crystal Lake, IL, Becky (Tom) Varga of Lindenhurst, IL; Jennifer Praveen and her husband Praveen Kannan of Chicago, IL, Andrew Hameister of Plymouth, Kendra Dahlbacka of St. Louis Park, MN, and Michael Dahlbacka and his wife, Andrea Kutny of Fairbury, NE; five great-grandchildren, Hayley Janis, Megan Janis, Alex Janis, Nicole Varga and Allison Varga; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her husbands and her daughter, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Carlyle and Erma Weinhold; and her close friend, Carl Leonhardt. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at Ebenezer UCC. Rev. Dr. Roger J. Mealiff, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.
