Vernon L. Carlson

Vernon L. Carlson, 82, of Cascade, passed away on June 11, 2023. Born on April 20, 1941 in Village of Roosevelt, Minnesota. 

Vernon married Merle Kay (Tuma) on February 6, 2011 in Sheboygan. He served in the Marines for 4 years and Coast Guard for 8 years.

He is survived by his wife, daughter Sharon Pawelek of Janesville, WI; stepson Randall (Fen) Meyer of Knoxville, TN.; stepdaughter Brenda Meyer of Fond du Lac, WI.; grandchildren Jonathan Miller and Kristen Miller of Janesville, WI, Brittany (Marissa) Jensterle of Waukesha, WI., Haleigh Meyer of Knoxville, TN, Aiden Seibel of Fond du Lac, WI. and Jackson Seibel of Fond du Lac, WI.; great-grandchildren Oliver Miller and Ember Ray; sisters, Kathryn Holden of Hillside, Michigan, Judy Bahrke of Milwaukee, WI. And Robin (Eric) Norling of Milwaukee, WI.; brothers Steven (Janelle) Carlson of Delavan, WI. and Rick (Pamela) Carlson of Lake Village, Indiana and other relatives and friends.

Vernon is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Beverly Carlson and sisters, Carol Roths and Karen Wickman.

A Celebration of Life for Vernon will take place at 2:30PM on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Unity Spiritual Center Sheboygan, 2409 N 8^th Street, Sheboygan, with Reverend Aubree-Lynn Maugeri officiating. The family will greet visitors at the church on Saturday from 2:00PM – 2:30PM. Vernon will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth.
