Victor H. Pahmeier, 78, of Howards Grove, passed away in his sleep firm in his Christian faith on Monday, June 02, 2014 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. Victor was born November 30, 1935 in Sheboygan to the late Frederick and Ella (Diener) Pahmeier. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheboygan and later confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Haven. Victor graduated from Kiel High School and then served his country in the United States Army. On October 7, 1961 he married the former Donna Mae Shufflebotham in Oostburg. In 1963, while Victor was employed by the Kohler Company, the couple bought a farm along the shore of Lake Michigan in Cleveland where they raised their four sons. Victor especially enjoyed taking his boys fishing. The family enjoyed camping, gardening and cash cropping. Victor retired from the Kohler Company in 1998 after 40 years of service. Donna preceded him in death on September 2, 2000. The Lord blessed Victor again with a second wife, Shirley Nelson, whom he met through mutual friends. On June 30, 2001 they were married in Manitowoc. In 2003, they sold the farm and moved to Howards Grove. They enjoyed traveling and going to their property in Michigan. In addition to his wife, Shirley, he is survived by his four sons, Fred (Beth) Pahmeier, Fond du Lac, David (Julie) Pahmeier, Cleveland, John (Kirstie) Pahmeier, Mequon and Daniel (Tracy) Pahmeier, Manitowoc; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Milton (Ellen) Pahmeier, Cleveland; one sister, Doris (David) Daun, North Fond du Lac; one stepson, Kevin Nelson, Sheboygan; one stepdaughter, Kathy (Ron) Gerharz, Black River; three step-grandchildren. He his further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife. A funeral service for Victor will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church (441 Millersville Avenue, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Tom Unke officiating. Friends may call on Friday, at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at St. Johannes Cemetery in Cleveland with full military honors. A memorial fund has been established in Victor's name to be used for St. Paul's Lutheran School. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Rocky Knoll Health Care Center.
