Waldemar Niesing

Waldemar "Wally" Niesing, 89, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at Azura Memory Care. Wally was born April 6, 1928, in Sheboygan, to the late Gottlieb and Dorthea (Keller) Niesing. On June 24, 1950, he married the former Evelyn Lemp at First Methodist Church in Sheboygan. Wally was employed at Georgia Pacific for 26 years before retiring in 1990. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping trips.
In addition to his wife, Evelyn, he is survived by his children, John Niesing, Sheboygan and Dorothy (Dan) Shaske, Howards Grove; three grandchildren, Rev. Jason Niesing, Amber Roth and Adriana Broussard; three great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Christiana and Nehemiah; one sister, Rose Blankenship. He is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert, Dave, Fredrick, John, Jacob and Gottlieb, Jr. and five sisters, Sophia, Emma, Marie, Esther and Ruth.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center (1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan) with Rev. Jason Niesing officiating.
