Walter Nelson

Walter Jon Nelson, 46, of Sheboygan passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born on December 16, 1970 in Los Angeles, CA to Jon and Janet (Meyer) Nelson. Walter proudly served in the US Navy Reserve. On February 14, 1994, he was united in marriage to Michelle Smoody in Sheboygan.
Walter was a shift manager at Pizza Hut, he was an avid sports fan but was a diehard Packer fan, loved being outdoors, golfing, camping in the Dells, but most importantly was the time he spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Michelle, son Gabriel (fiancée Andrea Stover) Barrera and his mother Janet Barrera, daughter Allysa Nelson, grandson James Jon Barrera, mother Janet Nelson, father Jon ( Jean) Nelson, mother-in-law Linda (Bruce) Chapman, father-in-law James (Lynne) Smoody, brother-in-law Kevin (Michelle) Mueller, sisters-in-law Katie Smoody and Bethany (Kevin) Winter, nieces Jasminn (Zac) Freriks and Hilary Mueller, nephew Kyle Mueller, and his special little buddy great nephew Carson Freriks, and by his best friend Rob Bouchard. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and sister Monica Nelson.
