William Trowbridge

July 29, 1926 — May 26, 2015

William Otis Trowbridge age 88, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 surrounded by his niece and best friend Marie Konz and caregivers Diane, Barb and Val. He was born July 29, 1926 in Sheboygan Falls to parents Walter and Pauline (Brickner) Trowbridge. Bill attended Sheboygan Falls schools graduating in 1944. He attended and earned his degree in chemical engineering from UW Madison. Bill served in the army as a Sargent from 1950-1952. He was employed by 3-M which took him to Holland to build a 3-M plant. After finishing his career, he returned to Sheboygan Falls. He loved sailing, skiing, fishing and playing cards. Bill spent many happy times with his niece Marie and grandniece Nicole and grandnephew Nathan at his cottage "up north" on Enterprise Lake. Bill is survived by his loving nieces, Marie (Dave) Konz, Kathleen Saladino, Catherine (Charlie Bryant) Trowbridge, Cynthia (Hal) Dubbs Trowbridge, Jorja (Freddie) Kulow and Tammy (Mike) Schaller; nephews, Michael Trowbridge, Thomas Trowbridge, Dennis Trowbridge; one brother, Walter "Laddie" (Asiata) Trowbridge; sister-in-law, Florence Trowbridge; grand-nieces, Nicole (Ben) Hartman, Rebecca and Jennifer Saladino, Shannon Sargent; grand-nephews, Nathan (Christina) Scherer and Brian (Lori) Konz. Also survived by 18 great-grand nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jeffrey Trowbridge. A time of visitation and support will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, (Hwy 42 & JJ)Monday, June 1 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM with Rev. Chuck Apple presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Hospice Advantage. A special thanks to Bill's caregivers; Diane, Barb, Dixie, Val, Joyce, Alisha and Joan Kleist at Sheboygan Senior Center for their care and support.
