Yvonne Launer

Yvonne L. Launer, 86, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Pine Haven Christian Homes in Sheboygan Falls.  She was born November 21, 1935, in Sheboygan County to the late Arthur and Elise (Neese) Zastrow.  On February 13, 1954, she was united in marriage to Roland “Rollie” Launer.  Together they celebrated 64 years of marriage before his passing on August 15, 2018.

Yvonne had a strong faith and was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.  She served on the Mary Martha Guild and the Alter Guild for many years.  Yvonne volunteered at Bethesda for many years and worked at Prange Way until it closed.

Yvonne loved to embroider flower sack towels and was an excellent baker and cook.  She enjoyed sharing her talents with her friends and family.  Her family was her pride and joy, she cherished all the lasting memories she created with them.

Yvonne is survived by her children; Kathleen Launer of Sheboygan, Karen (Michael) Mauritz of Neenah, Patricia (Michael) Habermann of Lexington, KY, Robert Launer of Oostburg, and Daniel (Jeni) Launer of De Pere, her seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister Ruth Knabe, and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan.  Yvonne will be laid to rest at Sunrise Memorial Gardens next to Roland at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or Pine Haven Christian Homes Endowment Fund in Yvonne’s name.
